Robert is an Engineer and is the owner of Serex Sales Automation Services a division of Serex Corp. Since 1993, Serex has specialized mainly in business process automation focused on automating Sales, Marketing, Administration and more recently Procurement for small and medium sized businesses. Serex also offers Call Centre Services including customer service, telemarketing, appointment setting and more recently, helping clients obtain Canadian Anti-Spam Law compliance.

Robert‘s experience, aside from being a tennis pro for 10 years, includes positions as senior design Engineer, transitioning to Sales & Marketing and eventually Partner and Executive VP of Sales and Marketing at Sur-Gard Security Systems, a Montreal based manufacturer of alarm and security products. Robert was instrumental in successfully developing both US, Canadian and International distribution channels that included a combination of distributors and direct sales for Sur-Gard. The incredible growth led to the eventual sale of the company to Digital Security Control (DSC) now a division of Tyco International.

After leaving Sur-Gard, Robert, with a partner started up a company called Simply Monitoring Systems (SMS). SMS developed a alarm monitoring software solution that dramatically reduced the cost of alarm monitoring in the commercial space. Robert was instrumental in growing the client base across Canada, USA, Europe, Asia, Mexico and South America, making the SMS software the standard in small commercial alarm


Robert was also a managing partner in Messaging Magic Inc, a digital advertising company that owned a network of digital screens in malls and many other private and public places where advertising messages were delivered. He was instrumental in its’ growth and eventual sale.

Today Robert is practicing what he loves, Business Automation mainly focused in the Sales, Marketing and Procurement. With authorizations on multiple CRM and Marketing Automation systems and with over 25 years of experience, Robert is one of Canada’s leaders in this space.Robert frequently keynotes at conferences and does radio interviews talking about ways to effectively implement CRM, Marketing Automation and Procurement Solutions all to help automate many corporate business processes.
